I'm new to the world of red light therapy and thought this little unit would be the perfect entry point. I have it on my bedside so that if I need to get up at night, I can see if there are any snakes on the floor or inside the toilet bowl. And yes, it has happened to me before.

I'm glad I bought the red beacon instead of the red-light plug-in as it is handy to carry through the house and light rooms for those before-bed tasks (teeth-cleaning, getting a glass of water etc). It gives a more even, all-round lighting than the red-light torch (which I will save for camping). It's also handy that it recharges with usb and does not require batteries. It's a bit more light-weight and small than I was expecting, so I hope it lasts well, but am very happy with the purchase so far.

This light is so easy to use and has made it much easier to fall back to sleep after bathroom visits in the middle of the night. The battery goes flat all of a sudden but it is quick to recharge. I now charge it up every so often to avoid suddenly finding it doesn't work.

This is good for now in the bathroom. However, I'd like it to not require depressing and then I could use it in the bedroom without distrurbing anyone. I'd also prefer it if it had some way of gently lowering, and increasing, the light level. It's lasting a long time on it's first charge.

The first Biolight I bought was the Twilight Red Light Bulb, but I quickly realised that this wasn't right for me and my bedroom lamp. Whilst it does offer a light that it really easy on the eyes, it's not practical for everyday use, as I couldn't see the colour of my clothes for example.
So, I contacted Biolight and they let me exchange it for a Sweet Dreams Light Bulb, which works really well for me. This light bulb is easy on the eyes but I can still see every properly and in the right colour. And this light bulb is great for winding down in the evening.
But I still wanted to have a red light for going to sleep and for getting up in the night, as the red light is so easy on the eyes that you don't feel like it's waking you up. So, I chose the Beacon light, and it's great, I wouldn't be without it now.
I use it for about half an hour before I go to sleep, after I've switched off my Sweet Dreams light. And I feel so much calmer and sleepy as a result. I also take it with me when I have to go to the bathroom in the night, so I don’t have to switch on any white lights that would wake me up. Even the Sweet Dreams would be too much for me at that time. It works so well. I go straight back to sleep, whereas in the past, with white lights (even the torch on my phone) I'd be woken up and then struggle to get back to sleep.

Works really well, bought it for newborn nights so sleep is less interrupted. Has a brighter and softer setting, have been using myself before bed and is very calming. Only downside is the spring action on/off button, which is a loud click sound if you have it sitting on a hard surface.

This is perfect if your need to get up and go to the bathroom in the night, but don’t want to be startled awake by a bright light. It’s both blue and green light free so won’t interrupt precious sleep. It’s portable too. I love it!
