This kind of product is exactly what I have been looking for for many years,
At night, there's this incredible conundrum—read in bright light and gut your melatonin production levels/physiologically set your body up for hours of wake time, or use the lowest light level you can possibly muster like some a video game challenge accept the result is probably just (mild to moderate) eye strain and a less inspired reading experience.
But wait! There's a bonus. The clip (quite robust) is multifaceted: clip it to any compatible ledge and angle the light to your desire to meet your particular preference at the moment or clip it directly in-between your book pages onto the spine and read hands-free—unclasping and relapsing as you flip.

This book light has 3 levels of soft red glow to read by. The light resonates soft comfort while enjoying a book. My eyes are rested while reading and onoccasion I can easily read without readers. The focus provides good coverage and I also look forward to a broader focus, which shines over two pages because the printed word in book form is my choice.
I also have a nighlight which shine anice ambience at the end of a day of bluelight work.

I bought this so I can read in bed while I get my preschooler to sleep. The LED light I had been using was keeping her wide awake for far too long. At first it seemed like a strange light and she was bothered by it, but now it is a welcome sight at the end of the day. My little one even requests it! I am shocked by how blue all the other lights in the house seem after bathing in the red light for an hour. It's definitely helping our sleep and is much easier on my eyes!

I was a bit sceptical to use red light for reading but it turned out it's a great solution. This little light is small and very portable. It has two levels of brightness and clips easily on my book.

My wife has never been able to tolerate me reading in bed after she turns her light out - until now. Not only is this light very restful on my eyes, it's also no trouble to said wife. She's even been recommending it to friends.
I do though have to put up with jokes about my side of the bed being a red light district!
There are myriad similar devices for sale cheaply on eBay but this one feels solidly well made.
